Matt's prom pictures

Matt went with his longtime friend and down-the-street neighbour, Lauren Biesinger.

Kind of a beautiful photo, actually

Now, the more official pictures:

They went with a number of other young hooligans. Gamers, karatnes, soccer mates and theatre people were included.

Required pose:

We are nervous that this is some kind of Skull and Bones thing.

Squersh! Ah, youth ...

Decorated

A bit skeptical about that athletical claim, but the award seems about right ...

Technology, benevolently

Distant, but not really that long ...

The latest about Lucy

Lucy was born with sagittal synostosis, which means that the plates in her skull were fused when she came out. (Note: this condition can make for unusually rigourous deliveries. Ask Caitlin about it ...)

One of the prescribed treatments for this condition is an operation called a strip craniectomy. Which Lucy had, on Tuesday April 12, 2016.

Just post-op, the poor little fella

Little girl in a great big bed:

Tired little tiger

Next morning. Oh, dear!

You should see the other guy ...

Peaceful ...

Did we get this right? Lucy has 29 stitches!

Dr. Miller looks on

Next morning/April 14, and that swelling's already going down. (Not gang signs. [We don't think.])

Mothers gotta recover too!

Another day gone by, and Lucy is feeling well enough to think she's lookin' cool. She's right!

When it gets to the point that you're holding your own bottle, then it's clearly time to get back to work ...

Friday/5 days in: brighter, brighter, better, better. (Is that the colour your eyes have decided to be?)

One week later, and back to the doctor. Take that touque off!

Things that have been happening lately

Sarah, transferred to another preposterously picturesque place:

You can call me Gronginen!

As you all know she's in Holland, which would be to say canals and bike paths.

Bright, but maybe not quite warm

Matt and Claire participated in the March 19 Cultural Celebration, in honour and on the eve of the dedication of the LDS Provo City Centre Temple.

We were touched by the fact that the Kolob 2nd ward attempted to lift and succeeded in dropping Claire, at the climactic moment, this one last time.

On the day of the dedication, we got to go in the actual temple!

Colton and Caitlin and Miss Lucy flew back for Zebby's mother's funeral. And to interview for and be offered a new job, while they were at it.

Lotsa visitors!

These kids are in need of some baby holdin' time:

Spencer? He participated in a great big mission-wide conference.

Apostle on-board; also, spot the looney!

Subsequent, maybe consequent to that, Spencer was also part of a mission-wide mass transfer.

Spot the looney, pt. 2

Now he's in St. Etienne, just this side of Lyon. Photos to come, we hope ...

Of course, as always, there's been some flower arrangin' going on:

Our Easter bunny is also a tasteful designer/arranger of objects:

Lucy has now begun to dress her own self, and is quite understandably happy about the fact.

Matt bought a jacket, and made this face.

Related news: dater man! (Mandi M. is his companion this Preference weekend.)

Which camera do you want us to look at, elderly people?

There you go!

The traditional shed shot; ignore shadow!

Later, Matt was also seen to be wearing this disturbing feline shirt:

And now, ending where we began, the northern Netherlands, where it appears that spring is springing ...
