These are from last year, taken in the very south of France:

His best side |
Here are a couple of paragraphs from Spence's letters, that give some idea of what he's been able to do, where he's been able to go during this brief clerical stint.
“On Friday we took a little
trip to pick up an old, broken dryer in Saint Etienne, and an old, broken
fridge in Avignon. Then we went to Vitrolles, an outskirt of Marseille to buy
nine mattresses and all the necessary accesories from Ikea to go to the Marseille
and Nimes elders. We then proceeded to drive to those places and then got back
to Lyon at 8:00 pm. It was a fun little road trip.”

Preaching the Gospel, looks like |
“This week we got to help move the furniture into
the new chapel they've been building here in Lyon. It's really beautiful and
we'll probably be all moved in and having church there by the end of the year.
Growth is so exciting. It's going to be a beautiful place to meet. We also took
a moving trip down through Montpellier, Béziers, Perpignan(!), Tarbes,
Toulouse, and Montauban. We went in a big old circle around the mission. I've
got a beautiful mission. Despite all the rain it was really good to get back to
Perpignan and see where I started this whole adventure. It's good to get ‘home’ to places where you feel you belong.”
