Stateliness

We had what turned out to be a very enjoyable visit to Buckingham Palace, the Queen's Gallery, and the Royal Mews.

It was all very expensive, very exclusive, with what sort of felt like a smattering of condescending access.  It's very inequitable, and ultimately iniquitous, all this monarchical stuff.

Fair is fair, though. It's also really cool!

There was a temporary exhibit on Royal Childhood, which hinted at all of the dire hierarchies, the toadying, the preposterousness of this whole institution.  Just as much, howeverat least, it seemed, with the luminaries of these last generations—decencies!
