Claire's experience that says a lot about how many adults think about and treat children...
A substitute teacher I had said she liked black and white movies. We asked her, and she said her favourite film was The Thin Man.
"I've seen that," I said. My dad had just read the book, and then we all watched the film. We liked Asta the dog. All the characters drank a lot.
"I'll bet you haven't," my teacher replied.
