Sarah's artists' and opening reception, for the 11th (every-three-years) International Art Competition, at the Church History Museum, at 45 N. West Temple, in Salt Lake City, for which she had a piece selected, which went so far as to win a purchase award, on March 14, 2019

Blustery!

The ceremony and presentation of winners took place in the Assembly Hall, on Temple Square.

Lots of people! Sarah was one of them, and she, of course, had an extra special reason to be there.

That's not nothin!

The Museum's curators, and the competition's judges, made little speeches. They beamed up slides of the various merit and purchase award winners. It's hard to take a good picture of any of that, when Luca isn't quite enjoying himself!

Anyway, Sarah got her slide, and went up, and it was cool. Then we all went over to the Museum itself. Which looked approximately like this:

We wait for Eric, and Wade, who are rushing over from a double booking. Luca continues to be dressed like a little lambie.

Eric and Wade arrived! I didn't even get a picture of them!

Also, lots of people! This is a big deal.

Here's Sarah, with (Scots) judge Jean Richardson, who as it turned out had been Sarah's particular and even insistent advocate, during the deliberations. (And she'd taken a long ago BYU film class from Dad.) Here also is a fellow award winner who'd actually been in Sarah's singles ward.

And here's that winning work, which weve all so admired and enjoyed for all this time, and which is now part of this major Museum's permanent collection.

Pretty great! As is this quiet, modest, really meaningful artist's statement.

Sarah!
