Bringing us all up to date, pt. 3

Were you all wondering about Karen, by any chance? Well, she's getting more and more established, as evidenced by this elaborate apparatus that has just been installed in her house. Look closely, and you might just catch sight of her.

Don't you wish you were a cat?

Here's a young person, obviously making quick progress in important developmental areas. It does appear, mind, that some precautions are still needed.

Hey, look. A family gathering, at Adam and JJ's. Claire keeps preponderating, doesn't she? Well, she's been injured!

Look closely and you'll see Sarah recuperating as well. Always looking for attention ...

We do want to assure you. There's much more than just Claire on our mind.

Anyway, back to Claire, who we don't favour at all. Like many of her SHS sibling-predecessors, she took home a bucket-full of honours and scholarships from this year's Seniors' awards assembly. Below you'll see her winning the Scott Hullinger Scholarship (the cash award later doubled, because Scott and Kirsten so liked Claire's essay [along with the rest of the selection board, who blind-read and then unanimously blind-chose her entry], not to mention Claire herself). This scholarship is awarded for resiliency, hard work and perseverance. I guess they didn't see the state of her bedroom.

You'll also see Claire winning the Utah Regents' Scholarship, an Academic Preparation Scholarship from BYU—the result of more acclaim-grabbing essays—commendation for state-topping combined GPA's for the soccer team she co-captained, never to be collected scholarship awards from the University of Southern Utah. What a country!
